"Let Your Light Shine" Lanterns

Center one piece of wire on each side of the jar just under the grooves.
Twist the wire pieces securely together on each side.

Embellish with ribbons and fabric ties, if desired.
Add a tea light and you're good to go!

  1. These are really neat! I'm wondering if you might be able to use a plastic container? I have a troop of Daisy scouts and it would be neat for them to make this, but because of there age, I don't know if glass would be a good choice.

  2. Plastic's not any use with candles! Melt!

Facebook is notorious for not notifying page owners when I feature them, so I thought I would stop by myself and let you know :) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153775790395217&set=a.353593675216.349539.323548680216&type=1&stream_ref=10

  4. I'd use battery operated tea lights with these, no matter the age.

    2. 18 Guage - Galvanized Steel Wire from Lowe's. Way cheaper than actual craft wire.

  6. I’m confused as to how to attach the wires and beads. I can’t picture how to put on the beads after the wire is attached. Would you be able to provide step by step directions in a bit more detail?
